Corporate Team Building Events Involving Pottery and Alcohol

A Creative Getaway for Your Corporate Team

Our two hour events can be catered towards pottery painting, hand building or wheel throwing depending on peoples’ interests or experience.

Our Studio has a capacity of 20 people for pottery painting and 8-10 people for Hand Building and Wheel Throwing Taster.

Our team can organise refreshments for the event.

After the class, we give you the option of choosing a glaze colour, and we can apply this for you at no additional charge.

Creative Options for your Team

Pottery Painting

We offer several pieces of plain ceramic pieces that are ready to paint on. Our most popular items are plates, pasta bowls and mugs. You can use our wide selection of underglazes to paint on them.

Hand Building

Hand building is done on our large table with hand tools like rolling pins, carving implements and brushes. It tends to be a little more accessible for beginners and also if you already have an idea, such as producing a serving platter, in mind. It also tends to be better for producing slightly larger objects.

Wheel Throwing

Wheel throwing is done on one of our five premium Shimpo electric wheels. The movement of the wheel allows an experienced practitioner to make symmetrical forms quickly and easily. While the wheel can be challenging for beginners, our resident potter will guide you to learn the basics of wheel throwing. You could expect to build something around the size of a small cappuccino cup, or small rice bowl.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Pricing?

Pricing is set at 500 HKD per person.

What Should I Expect?

A two hour session where you will have access to a fully equipped pottery studio with electric wheels wheels, a slab roller, clay extruder, dipping and painting glazes, underglazes and more.

What Should I Bring?

There isn’t any need to bring anything like an apron, as we have plenty on hand. Clay is easy to clean, but I don’t recommend wearing clothes like suede that are harder to wash. It is helpful to wear watches and jewellery that are easy to remove, especially if you intend to use the wheel. These can get in the way and are best put aside for the session. Hair ties are also useful for students with longer hair.

When Can We Collect our Pieces?

The lead time for collection can vary depending on drying time and our kiln firing schedule. We estimate that most pieces will be ready four weeks from the day of creation. This should give them ample time to dry and therefore reduce the chance of any damage to the pieces during the firing process.

What is Your Cancellation Policy?

We have a strict seven day cancellation policy.

      • If you provide over seven days notice before the course you are entitled to a full refund
      • If you provide between seven days to 48 hours notice before your course we will be unable to offer a refund. However, we will be able to offer studio credit for other classes and workshops
      • If you provide less than 48 hours notice before the course you will not be refunded or provided with studio credit. We are a small studio and it is unlikely we will be able to fill your seat with only 48 hours notice. But, if you are able to send a friend in your place just let us know and we are happy to accommodate them!
